I´m always little bit confused which category I should use for my pics when I put together my own hand drawing and some photoshop set ups. Anyone has some idea, please? :)

Drawing of a girl-pencils and black ball point pen
the background-wall photo and photoshop brushes
Coloured in photoshop
Original 30x40cm

And the idea? I feel my destiny can be influenced by many factors... those factors are so minor... but sometimes so important.

Unfortunately you'll find this to be a miscat.

The powers that be still haven't made a hybrid category for traditional mixed with digital art - I would like to see a Mixed Media >Trad/Digital category, but as things stand any traditional work that's been added to in any way at all by anything digital, just has to be stuck in the Digital section.

It realllllly annoys me! Whilst the digitalists can't complain, the traditionalists contain amongst them those beings called "purists" and they won't tolerate anything in their category that isn't just that - totally purely traditional! (Maybe if I were a truly traditional artist I'd feel the same!)

Anyway in the meantime, I really do love this picture! To me its Mixed Media of the type I've described, but meanwhile..... :frustrated:

Thank you for your words-I totally agree... I would definitely put my work into "MIXED MEDIA" section... but when you choose this category, the only way you can go is "digital" ...I don´t want my pictures to look like "fully digital" when I put quite lot of effort into drawing. The digital part of it is not major.
O.K. :) So, I´m going to change the category in a minute... fighting tooth and nails :)

Oh, and I almost forgot to say Thank you very much! I´m happy you like the picture!

as an addition-a second ago-I changed the category-and I have to apologize to the galleries staff. There is a way how to expressyou are more "traditional" than "digital" =>Traditional Art > Mixed Media > People

The GD in charge of all this :iconsbaraci: has stated in a news article (sorry I don't have the link right now) that mixed media in traditional is all traditional mixed media, and she made no bones whatever about the fact that if there's an iota of digital involved in the production of the image, it is not traditional and must go into the digital section.

I have complained to her about the lack of correct category for people like you and me who like to mix trad and digi, and she said that there needs to be many many people wanting this category before they'll create it. I'm sure there are many people, but we just don't know who they are. Somehow we need to get this known and discussed...

I see :iconlolly: is inviting discussions - you could even use this particular image as your deviation for it, as he's wanting to put the suggestions into collections [link]

Now I'm going to have to do something more positive about it too!

I love the detailing and tones. Nice style and fine flow. The patterns are gorgeous.
